Wedge Platform Retro Sandals

A T-strap wedge sandal with a beaded, multicolour trim running down the vamp in a boho medallion pattern, set on a wedge wrapped in a floral-print fabric rather than plain leather. An elasticated sling-back strap at the heel keeps the sandal secure without a buckle to fasten. The beads sit along the outer edge of the strap rather than against the skin, so the detailing stays purely decorative underfoot, and the elasticated strap stretches gently to fit as you slip your foot in rather than needing to be adjusted to an exact size. It's a genuine platform wedge, several centimetres of lift, which is generally more stable to walk in than a thin stiletto heel of the same height.

Wipe the beaded trim carefully with a dry cloth, avoiding water which can loosen the bead stitching, and keep the fabric-wrapped wedge away from heavy rain, since the print fabric can absorb moisture and stain. Spot-clean only, and check periodically that the bead stitching hasn't loosened from flexing at the vamp, tightening any loose threads before they catch and pull further.

Wrapping the wedge in printed fabric rather than moulding it from a single dense material block gives the same platform height and structure using a lighter core underneath. The elasticated sling-back also means there's no buckle hardware to corrode or break, which is often the first point of failure on a hardware-fastened sandal.
