Sheer Lace Faux-Denim Jacket

A classic light-wash denim trucker jacket with the front and shoulder panels swapped for sheer floral lace cutwork, so the collar, cuffs and side seams stay solid denim while the chest and back are see-through. It's built as a layering piece — the lace sections aren't lined, so whatever's underneath shows through, which is the whole point of pairing solid structure at the edges with sheerness across the largest panels. Worn over a bralette or cami, the contrast between the crisp denim trim and the delicate embroidered lace gives it a romantic, undone-trucker-jacket feel. Substituting sheer lace for solid denim across the largest panels of the jacket uses less dense woven denim overall than a fully solid trucker jacket in the same size. Denim production is comparatively water- and dye-intensive, so reducing the amount of solid denim fabric per garment while keeping the structural trim pieces is a meaningful reduction.
